Screen shot FileMenu Tools 6.1

some already know, but there is a small tool I discovered recently that has great potential. FileMenu called Tools, is free and has many tricks up his sleeve. To be frank, I was looking for an alternative to an alternative tool to the Folder Size Shell Extension of Windows 98, ME and XP to Windows 7. I got to looking around FileMenu Tools 6.1, saying she did things similarly. For as I have seen, they were right.

FileMenu Tools 6.1 is a complement to Windows Explorer shell for Windows 7, which adds an additional category to the context menu that appears when you right click an item in Windows Explorer, in this case right click on it to a folder. Upon entering the option FileMenu Tools 6.1 see a large number of sub-functions, among them is the folder size option.

By accessing this option displays a window like the one shown above. It can be seen in detail the size of each folder that is inside the folder analyzed. The sizes listed in the window can be sorted from highest to lowest, or in reverse order. You can also sort the folders by number of files including, percentage or name. This is especially useful when cleaning files, searching a large file or even a routine inspection.
