Turns out a new version of open source software for professional 3D design and animation Blender. Blender supports curves, polygon meshes, text, NURBS and metaballs (3d objects with the physical characteristics of mercury).
The animations can be created using key frames, morphing, curved movements, and inverse kinematics. Other possibilities are Blender: 3D viewer with Rotoscoping, selection of modes of light, deformed lattice, particle system, skeletons, rendering the field, and framed by vertex morphing.
