Tux Paint is an Open Source (free, and free to copy and redistribute) drawing program for young children (ages 2 and up).
It provides a simple interface, with one-click saving, thumbnail browser loading, and automatic reloading of the last picture when you start back up. It´s also entertaining, with a helpful cartoon character and fun sound effects.
Tools include brushes, lines, shapes and a big eraser. The ´Rubber Stamp´ tool provides access to countless drawings and photos which can be placed in the drawing (like a child´s stickerbook). The ´Magic´ tool includes over a dozen special effects.
Tux Paint has been translated into nearly 20 languages, including Spanish, French, German and Italian. It´s available as source code, Windows installer, Mac OS X archive, and as packages for Linux (Debian, Red Hat, Mandrake, etc.)
