Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2152: With opportunities for exchanging messages

Yahoo!Messenger 9.0.0.2152 is completely equivalent chat client to all others. Perhaps even more than equivalent. With opportunities for exchanging messages (chat), voice messages (voice chat), file transfer, video conferencing (video chat with web cameras), the program has a very strong position in the battle of chat clients.
Because not everything has to be news about Windows Live Messenger, now I will talk in detail about the new Yahoo!
Messenger 9.0.0.2152 that brings one of the most popular messaging clients of the world (although in Spain and Latin America did not become apparent) and that this new version is to ratify its title as one of the most comprehensive of its kind. We DEGLAS developments one by one.
First is the preview pictures and videos. This feature will be that each time we receive a link that points to multimedia content from sites like Flickr, Picasa or YouTube, we can see the video or image directly into the chat window, without having to open the link with a browser. Surely this is a very practical and interesting addition, which we are not in almost any other messaging client.
With respect to social functions, has added a News Feed to contact cards, which is called Yahoo! Updates and reports on the latest action of our friends in the universe Yahoo, or even third-party services such as YouTube or Twitter using MyBlogLog (service recently bought by Yahoo). Everything indicates that including News Feeds and records of activity in customer messaging is becoming a trend (Windows Live Messenger 9 includes a similar function), which in my view is correct, as this is done to strengthen the role that social networks tend to have MI.
Just linked to this, Yahoo Messenger 9 has improved the function of "phrases to show" a space to write text, and another to share links. We have also returned to include multiplayer games, to entertain us around with our contacts.
Similarly, we find changes in the emoticons. First, it has incorporated a new set of emoticons inspired by requests from users of Y! Messenger. Have also been discontinued Emoticons large version 8.0, which apparently did not meet with much acceptance, to return to the small icons of yesteryear. There are also new skins to personalize the look of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2152.
We also have the new Import Contacts wizard, which allows us to add addresses from services like Gmail, Orkut, Windows Live, etc.., Books or contacts from Outlook and Windows. So we put things easier if they are just beginning to use Yahoo Messenger.
In addition, we now have two views to see our list of contacts (as well as Windows Live Messenger 8.5). complete, where avatars appear larger, and we can see the nick side of our friends, and compact, which only shows the main nick and a thumbnail.
Other features that will probably be useful to many people are related to the voice conversation. First, we have improvements in voice mail service, because now we recorded the message is sent as an MP3 attachment to the recipient's address. And there are news in the VoIP service from Yahoo, which now gives us the ability to redirect incoming calls to a mobile phone or fixed network.
Finally, we must tell them about Pingbox, a chat box embedded into any website and blog that will allow our visitors to contact us via Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2152, without having a Yahoo account, you download Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2152 or that we add as a contact. Furthermore, those who wish to speak with us we will not address IM. While this is not a characteristic of the client desktop and take advantage of mention in this review.
It should be mentioned that Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2152 also features a chat-box inlaid with similar functions, called Messenger IM Control.
As a separate consideration, I think it's a shame that Yahoo decides to incorporate more features into its Windows Messenger to traditional on the client specifically designed for Vista, because when do that are wasting the huge potential of an application made from scratch and it leverages the Windows Presentation Foundation to deliver a clean and friendly interface.
Even so, Yahoo! Messenger 9.0.0.2152 for XP has proven again to be one of the most comprehensive messaging applications that currently exist, and is worth testing. Especially if we think that through interoperability with Windows Live is removed the barrier that meant having to necessarily use the protocol to use our friends.
