GIMP 2.6 for Windows, Ever Closer to Photoshop

GIMP, the implementation of editing and retouching of images, bringing new and still overcome. GIMP 2.6 now comes with many improvements, among which perhaps the most important is the support for the Generic Graphics Library (its initials are GEGL).
This, for many non-specialists may sound even cryptic, involves a great improvement that is to allow now that GIMP 2.6 can deliver up to 32 bits per color channel, whereas historically has been limited to only 8 bits per channel. This can be said quietly that GIMP is now a tool that any professional can use to produce their work.
Beyond this huge milestone that is achieved with GIMP 2.6, there are other minor improvements but also make the functionality of the application, such as the Applications menu of your tool palette that now happens to be in its own window to integrate into the Documents menu. And the tools floating, now appear more tidy and always visible, so that clicking on the main document does not go below that.
The list of improvements is very long and you can see from the note launch GIMP, but the important thing is that when GIMP 3.0 arrives, the interface will be completely redesigned, and this will have the help of designers (including some not are of the free software community), and with the invaluable contribution of its users. This openness to other models of interface, added to his remarkable technical quality, can make the tool GIMP total design and editing images.
