Songbird 1.8.0 Final is a desktop Web player, a digital jukebox and Web browser mash-up. Like Winamp, it supports extensions and skins feathers. After the birth of Nightingale , now comes the beta version of Songbird 1.8.0 Final. This new version will incorporate the main innovations, support for systems with Windows 7, the playback of video files and synchronization with devices with SD memory.

The video display returns to Songbird and it does based on GStreamer. Supported formats are: support for OGG Theora, on all platforms, in the MacOS version, support for MPEG 4 and H.264, MP4 files in Windows if you have Quicktime installed. Finally, in the Windows version can play WMV files.
