InstalledCodec 1.06, free programs which show you what codecs and DirectShow filters are installed on your system. Each item on the list has the following data: name, type, status of the exemption, the time of installation / modification, description, company name, file name, etc. The list can be saved in TXT file, XML or CSV, HTML. We also have the option of exempting each codec or the filter from the program.

One day you install a super pack of video codecs and have the following compatibility issues between two or more codecs. These are things that happen but if you want to avoid, first things first: you have to know what you have already installed.

InstalledCodec 1.06 is a simple tool that displays a list of all the codecs and filters, both audio and video installed on your computer. What's more, you get useful information about each name, type, status (enabled or not), installation date, description, etc..

The big advantage is that with just one click you can activate and / or disable any codec or filter on your computer. You can even find the entrance to the codec in the registry (only experts) and, if desired, to generate an HTML report that can print. So, if you have a conflict between codecs, you get off the headaches.
