AnyTV 2.33: another alternative to watch TV online

One of the many options is called AnyTV 2.33, a free program that follows the same philosophy that JLC's Internet TV: channels to see the world in a single window, drawing the player you have installed on our computer (which has to be Windows Media Player or Real Player).

This program does not impose geographic limitations like Zattoo, which allows only Spanish channels and some foreigners. However, in exchange for extending the choice of channels, quality is sacrificed in his vision. In this article we will discuss our program, we have used a connection with 10 megs of speed.

More than 2630 TV channels, 4750 radio and almost 7,000 videos. That is the promise that we read on page AnyTV 2.33. But the reality is that we see very little but, as happened with the videos. To guide us, the program uses icons of a "V" and a green "X" in red, indicating whether or not the channel is operational. The problem is that these icons are not at all indicative, since a high percentage all channels marked with "V" in question do not work.

The program says that the channel has been loaded and is "ready." And that we think that we are "ready" if we see it, because everything goes black. This is especially evident in the TV and radio in Spain, where we just display regional channels and some of which broadcast via DTT. The situation is not much better when we see foreign channels. It can be really frustrating to see something get with this program.

In addition, we see other significant failures. Channels that get loaded and displayed, which requires a little luck, they are of a quality quite acceptable. But some can put in full screen, some not. Moreover, while we watch video clips we have no control to forward or rewind back: we have only the button Play / Pause. Also tell us the length of the video. It seems absurd that we can not do that when it comes to videos that never change their content, channels and not broadcast live.

Having said all this, we must also admit that no such program works wonders. But within the limitations they have, there are better and worse, and we fear that much AnyTV 2.33 in this second category, mainly because of the instability of the channels and the unreliability of the listings that we offer.

JLC's Internet TV is not a program to shoot rockets and jumping for joy. But at least plays in a much greater extent with what it promises, and tell us more wisely AnyTV 2.33 that when a channel is available or not. his choice of channels is much lower, but those are with acceptable quality and rarely fail (especially if we have a good Internet connection).
